Ucoder (ucode Universal Information Service) lets anyone easily issue ucode(s) and associate them with information. You can use ucoder using a PC and printer connected with the Internet, and a mobile phone with a function to read barcodes.
ucode is a unique identifier to allocate respectively to objects (product, goods, etc.), places, and concepts in the real world. ucode can be used by storing various types of tags such as active and passive RFID, infrared marker, print code such as bar-code, etc. ucoder uses QR code, one of two-dimensional (2D)codes as a tag to store ucode, to let users easily create and try with general mobile phone. If ucode is simply put on QR code, the ucode can be forged. Accordingly, ucoder uses ucodeQR which has ucode and electronic signature in the QR code data and is an anti-counterfeiting ucode tag.
If you create one ucoder account, you can obtain up to 100 ucodes. These ucodes are unique numbers and your ucodes can never be used by the others. You can associate them with various information such as textual information, URL, etc.
You can see the information associated with ucode by scanning its ucodeQR using a mobile phone with a function to read barcodes, or by using ucode resolution client library.
ucoder registers the associated information on the networked server. Accordingly, if you give your ucodeQR, he/she also can see the associated information. Then, if you change the associated information, he/she can see the latest information.
ucode is a unique identifier to allocate respectively to objects, places and concepts to be identified in the real world. Ucode is a 128-bit number, and it doesn’t have any meaning. The information associated with ucode is stored on the networked server. Terminals such as mobile phone, PHS, etc. scan the ucode attached to object or location, obtain the location of the information (URL, etc.) by inquiring to ucode resolution server, and obtain information from the information server. (Figure 1).
ucode Resolution is the procedure to extract information associated with ucode in the process of .
ucoder provides you with the following functions:
ucoder can be operated with the browser complying with Javascript and style sheet.
ucode is an identifier to allocate to objects, places and concepts to be identified.
The ucode resolution is a process for retrieving ucode-related information using the ucode as a key.
The ucode Resolution Protocol is a protocol for ucode Resolution. Its details are stipulated in [1].
The ucode resolution server is a server type computer system to store both ucode and ucode-related information and perform ucode resolution based on the ucode Resolution Protocol.
The ucode Resolution Gateway is a server type computer system to perform ucode resolution with HTTP. Its details are stipulated in [2].
The ucode tag is a medium in which ucode is stored according to the method certified by Ubiquitous ID Center. ucode tag includes print code such as bar-code, 2D code, etc., passive tag represented by RFID tag, and active tag such as infrared beacon, ucode radio wave marker, etc.
The ucodeQR is a ucode tag in which ucode is stored in QR code. Its encoding method is stipulated in [3].
